Ruby presentation dagger of a general with gold-plated and twisted handle winding in an elaborately crafted presentation box.
The handle and crossguard of the dagger are fire-gilded. As is the decorated pommel with the state coat of arms of the GDR. Yellowish plastic handle. A silver plate is inlaid in the oak leaves on the field of the front of the scabbard. On top of this is a golden oak leaf in which 4 rubies are set. The authenticity of the rubies has not been tested.
Double-edged, double-grooved blade. Burnished iron scabbard with gold-plated fittings on two carrying rings. In contrast to the standard daggers, the blade does not have a scabbard lock, which is why there is no push button on the handle. The scabbard of the dagger is decorated with 4 rubies. On the upper fitting, the coat of arms of the GDR and an oak branch are embossed in relief.
In a magnificent and elaborately crafted presentation case made of red leather with the GDR state emblem embossed in gold and the imprint "For the protection of workers and farmers". Inside with red fabric insert and gold-plated presentation plaque with italic lettering engraved "Presented by the Minister for National Defense of the GDR".
