WW2 V5 rocket thruster graphite 1938 Peenemünde, used for V2
Thruster of the V5 rocket from 1938 made of graphite, height approx. 14 cm, length approx. 21 cm, weight approx. 1 kg
These thrusters were still used in the V2 rocket in 1944. The thruster made the rockets easier to steer and had to withstand a temperature of almost 2000 degrees; tests were carried out at the Kummersdorf test site.
The piece has signs of use, it is not new or like new and you cannot build a rocket with it.
Another thruster is located in the Peenemünde Historical-Technical Museum
