British MK III (Turtle) steel helmet

British MKIII steel helmet from 1945, stamped on the inside with manufacturer and size, with inner workings, used condition.
The Mk III helmet was a steel military combat helmet first developed in 1941 for the British Army. First worn in combat by British and Canadian troops on D-Day, it was used in conjunction with the Brodie helmet for the remainder of WWII. Because of its resemblance to a turtle shell, it is sometimes referred to as the "turtle helmet" by collectors.
