Soviet Medal "For the Capture of Berlin"
This medal was instituted in 1945 for participants in the Battle of Berlin. Made of brass and measuring 32 mm in diameter, it features the inscription "ЗА ВЗЯТИЕ БЕРЛИНА" (For the Capture of Berlin) above laurel branches on the obverse. The ribbon is the classic red, black, and yellow striped ribbon of the Order of the Patriotic War.
