Steel helmet M16, very well preserved, manufacturer SI 68 Eisenhütte Silesia, Paruschowitz O/Silesia

The original paintwork is exceptionally well preserved and even. The helmet shell bears the SI 68 stamp on the side. Manufacturer SI stands for Eisenhütte Silesia, Paruschowitz O/Silesia. The leather lining is attached at three points and is complete. The padding consists of horsehair or straw, and the inner metal ring corresponds to the design from 1917 onwards. One small bag in the head padding is only minimally filled. The helmet shell is additionally stamped in the center with Bj 708.

The chin strap is missing; otherwise, the helmet presents itself in a very harmonious overall condition with an attractive, even patina. A particularly beautiful and rare piece!
