ww2 german stereoscope of the navy - Carl Zeiss Jena, KM stamp
Stereoscope of the Kriegsmarine - Carl Zeiss Jena
Very well-preserved table stereo viewer of the Kriegsmarine made of metal, with frosted glass plate (plexiglass), for viewing stereo images on paper or glass up to a size of 9 x 18 cm. The stereoscope essentially consists of two viewing magnifiers, each with a focal length of 100 mm, and a frosted glass plate for placing the images on. The magnifiers can be swiveled and thus adjusted to the user's eye distance. The set value can be read off at a millimeter graduation of 58 to 84 mm. If you want to view stereo images that are on larger boards, you remove the magnifier holder from the stand and attach it to a handle. Then you use the stereoscope like a pair of glasses. The device was probably manufactured in 1935. The image holder can be moved on the stand to focus. To illuminate glass pictures, place a sheet of white paper in front of the stereoscope so that the light that falls on it is scattered by the paper and reflected onto the underside of the screen.
Manufacturer Carl Zeiss and KM stamping present. To date the only known stereoscope with a Kriegsmarine stamp from wartime stocks
