Underglaze blue decor: Central portrait of Field Marshal August von Mackensen, in a stylized laurel wreath, signature "v. Mackensen" at the bottom.
Dimensions: Ø 25.5 cm. Plate donated on the occasion of the renaming of the 129th Inf. Regiment in October 1916 by Wilhelm II due to the field marshal's military successes during the Romania campaign. Royal Porcelain Manufactory Meissen, sword mark underglaze blue, 1916, 1st choice, immaculate condition.
