Japanese Type 30 bayonet for Arisaka rifles, complete with frog (belt hanger).
The symbol featuring three/four circles (representing stacked cannonballs) is the classic arsenal mark of the Tokyo Arsenal (Koishikawa / Tokyo Army Arsenal), which was used in this form until approximately 1935/1936.
The small stamp located beneath it is an inspection, acceptance, or personal mark belonging to an individual examiner at the factory.
Given that the Tokyo Arsenal origin and the specific markings point to a date of manufacture prior to 1936, this bayonet dates from the early or pre-war production period (spanning the Russo-Japanese War, the First World War, and the interwar years).
The curved, hook-shaped crossguard (hook quillon) is characteristic of early production models (later wartime versions featured a simple, straight crossguard).
