For sale is an original German Wehrmacht (Luftwaffe) det N 11279 generator from 1942. This independent, hand-cranked generator set was designed for military field use and powered field telephones, radios, visual signaling devices, and lamps.
Historical & Technical Background
The generator was originally manufactured for the Luftwaffe and therefore bears an FL number. As an AC generator with an additional DC output, the device could be used in a variety of situations – especially where no external power source was available. Such devices were used, among other things, for signaling and lighting purposes, by technical units, and in field operations.
