The Hindenburg light consists of greased cardboard, filled with wax and a wide wick that can be pulled out a little. When burning, the metal in the wax heats up, the heat softens the wax and burns with a bright flame. It was the light source of the German soldiers in World War II, also as an accessory in the standard lantern box. Original and unused. Manufacturer Wachswarenfabrik Wiedemann, Deggendorf Gau Bayreuth.
We tested a candle, it burns down without problems and without crackling, even flame, see photos.
