Former SS/Wehrmacht helmet M35 apple green with double emblem and acceptance stamp.
The manufacturer F.W. Quist manufactured these helmets for the Army, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and SS. There are no helmets manufactured exclusively for the SS.
Until 1940, double emblems were standard. From March 1940, there was an official order to remove the right-hand shields. From then on, only single decals were available. This helmet still had the original two shields and bears the 1940 year stamp on the chin strap. The helmet thus fits perfectly into this transitional period.
Apple green steel helmet, double emblem. Both badges have been replaced recently since the helmet was denazified, as regulations in 1940 required their removal.
The helmet is stamped on the neck with batch number 180, and on the side with manufacturer Q66 and a blue acceptance stamp in the center, which is illegible. The chin strap is stamped with the year 1940; the manufacturer's mark on the strap is illegible. For a better color comparison, we also photographed the helmet in daylight.
