The RFT MSG 75 is a military, battery-operated, portable metal detector, formerly used by the NVA.

The detected metal objects are displayed in the headphones by changing the pitch.
It is powered by three 1.5 V batteries and has an operating time of > 120 hours.
The detection sensitivity for aluminum disks, thickness 5 mm, diameter 50 mm, is 26 cm. Larger objects such as bombs etc. can be located up to a depth of 2 meters. This also makes it possible to search for unexploded bombs.
The MSG75 consists of a search coil, a joint with a connecting tube, a tube body and a headphone.
Various extension rods are included in the scope of delivery, resulting in a search radius of up to 4 m.
The search device itself weighs only 1.75 kg.
