Russia USSR post-war dagger for navy officers, dated 1957, with hanger and armband, officer's dagger
In the Soviet. Union, the honor dagger was introduced into the armed forces in 1940 and was worn until their dissolution in 1990.
Only admirals, officers and generals were allowed to use such honor daggers as part of their uniform. The honor dagger was presented to every officer when he was appointed lieutenant.
The pommel of the officer edged weapon is decorated with the state coat of arms of the USSR. The daggers were manufactured exclusively in the Zlatoust Blank-Waffen factory in Zlatoust. The year of manufacture of the dagger is dated 1957, blade length approx. 210 mm, gold-colored anodized quillons and pommel, brown plastic handle. Parade armband stamped on the inside and size adjustable with hooks on both sides. Length of the armband max 120 cm
