Ww1 EM 0,8m Barr & Stroud rangefinder type F. T. 27 from 1917
Used in World War I, rangefinder type F.T .27, rangefinder for the infantry. Device made of brass, leather fittings with double optics. In one lens, the target can be seen with the reticle, in the other lens the distance settings can be read from the white display in the window. Leather protection for a clear view, brass fittings on the optics which can be locked. Function checked. Perspective is milky and should be cleaned. View a little dented, otherwise a nice hauled piece.
This rangefinder was placed next to a weapon during World War I and was used to determine the distance to a target. Also used by the infantry in the trenches.
