Ww1 Barr & Stroud rangefinder type F. T. 27 from 1915
Used in World War I, rangefinder type F.T .27, rangefinder for the infantry. Device made of brass, leather covered with double optics. In one optic, the target can be seen with a reticle, in the other optic, the distance settings can be read from the white display in the window. Leather protection for the view through, brass fittings on the optic which can be closed. Function tested, OK
Patent from 1903, device number 979
This rangefinder was placed next to a weapon in World War I and was used to determine the distance to a target. Also used by the infantry in the trenches.
