Military Collector's Item from the Former GDR
A rare and highly sought-after "Poseidon" diving knife from the stocks of the former GDR, manufactured in Mühlhausen, Thuringia. This impressive knife was originally used in a military setting and is now a coveted collector's item for enthusiasts of GDR militaria, NVA equipment, and military knives.
The solid stainless steel blade impresses with its remarkable thickness and size. It features a classic cutting edge and a practical sawback. The blade is in near-mint condition – it is particularly noteworthy that it is rust-free, which is rare for many surviving examples.
The ergonomic, textured black hard rubber handle ensures a secure grip, while the solid metal pommel provides the knife with additional stability and a distinctive, robust appearance. The knife does not bear a manufacturer's logo, which is not uncommon for these models.
The set also includes the original sheath and two leg straps, ensuring the knife is complete and authentic.
