Original grouping belonging to soldier Theodor Wellmann (WWI & WWII): includes a bravery medal (engraved) awarded for action as a *Musketier* at Neuilly-sur-Marne on September 2, 1918, along with the award document and military service record (*Wehrpass*).

A fine, original, and cohesive grouping belonging to soldier Theodor Wellmann, comprising:
- Bravery medal awarded for service as a *Musketier* (12th Company, Infantry Regiment 465) at Neuilly-sur-Marne on September 2, 1918; includes the award document (dated 1917/18) and the medal itself (maker: F. Köhnke, engraved on the reverse).
- Book regarding his unit: Infantry Regiment 465.
- Iron Cross 2nd Class (1914) with award document; suspension loop missing from the medal.
- Authorization document for the Wound Badge in Black.
- Wound Badge in Black (1916).
- Faithful Service Decoration (25 Years) with award document; document is punched for filing and slightly damaged at the top right.
- Silver-colored Iron Cross (1914) pendant.
- "Ich hatte einen Kameraden" (I Had a Comrade) commemorative medal, circa 1919; signed by the sculptor Hosaeus.

On September 2, 1918, during the First World War, German troops on the Western Front were engaged in fierce combat near Neuilly-sur-Marne and the surrounding area as part of the fighting retreat following the Second Battle of the Marne. Bravery medals awarded on this date were often conferred immediately in recognition of acts of exceptional courage in the face of the enemy during these intense defensive battles.
