Thuringian helmet eagle for officers, circa 1870 - Infantry Regiments Saxe-Coburg and Gotha / Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar Eisenach with Landwehr Cross: Prussian yellow line eagle with star and coat of arms, the diamond-shaped crown entwined with laurel and oak leaves, patriotic ribbon "With God for Prince and Fatherland," fire-gilt, with the Landwehr Cross for reserve officers on the obverse chest. Openwork crown, typical threaded studs, as is typical of an officer's emblem, and the frosted gilding with polished edges indicate a fine officer's piece.
