WW2 British/Indian R.F.I. Mk II SMLE Bayonet with Leather Scabbard

Historical bayonet from World War II, designed for the British-Indian Lee-Enfield rifle (SMLE).

Blade length 30 cm, overall length approx. 42 cm
Marking Breakdown:

• Crown at top: British royal crown.

• G.R.I.: Stands for Georgius Rex Imperator (King and Emperor George VI, reigned 1936–1952).

• Mk. II: Model designation of the bayonet (Mark II).

• Numbers (Month/Year): The numbers 8 and 43 next to the center indicate the date of manufacture (August 1943).

• R.F.I.: Stands for the Rifle Factory Ishapore arms factory in India.
