This silver-plated die-cast sculpture depicts a charging German infantry soldier (Wehrmacht) in field uniform and steel helmet; he is preparing to throw a hand grenade with one hand while holding a rifle in the other. Base slightly damaged; shows signs of use. Such figures were commonly used during the era as military mementos, gifts for troops, or shooting competition prizes (honorary awards).
