A WWII hunting knife or army officer's knife made by Hörster Solingen.
Hunting knife with a horn handle and brass fittings. Horn handle with three applied acorns, long etched single-edged blade, blade with fine etched hunting decoration on both sides. Leather scabbard with brass fittings, one clasp missing. Length approximately 50 cm. Good condition with slight signs of age and wear. The belt hook is shaped like an acorn. The S-shaped crossguard ends in deer legs.
Hunting knives of this type were historically used by hunters and foresters to trap game and are considered a hunter's weapon of honor.
