Original, beautiful piece.

Introduced on April 6, 1930, this award was presented to soldiers of the Red Army and the Soviet Navy for "outstanding service in the defense of the Soviet Union in peace and war."

The decoration consisted of an enameled silver Soviet star with a central relief of a soldier with a rifle.
